Grab your suit and jump in to the coolest kind of summertime fun it's Water Country USA®, Virginia's largest water park, just three miles from Busch Gardens®.

Water Country USA is a flashback to the surfin' safari days of the '50s and '60s with splish-splashin' slides, a way-out wave pool, and hours of fun in the summer sun.

More than 30 water rides and attractions, all sorts of live entertainment and hoppin' restaurants, make a trip to Water Country USA a day that's ready to rock your socks off.

Rules & Safety

Be cool and follow the rules it's sure to make your park experience a whole lot more fun:

Smoking Policy

Busch Gardens® and Water Country USA® are committed to a safe and friendly environment; therefore we have provided designated smoking stations throughout the park. All indoor areas will remain smoke free environments. Outdoor smoking stations are designated in guest areas by smoking urns, benches and "designated Smoking Area" signs. These signs are clearly denoted on the park maps.

Picnic Areas

Picnic Areas are located in the pavilion located near the front entrance. Food, drinks, picnic baskets and coolers may not be taken into the park. (Exception:  Baby food and medicine are permitted, but not in glass containers.)

Attire

Guests may wear swimsuits or shorts, and T-shirts on rides. (No thong bathing suits are allowed and T-shirts may not be worn on body Flumes.) Aqua Socks are permitted on rides and in pool areas.

Life Vests

Water Country USA ®provides free life vests in a variety of sizes, but guests are allowed to bring their own. All life vests must be U.S. Coast Guard approved.


Pet Care

Pet care is provided in the England Parking Lot at Busch Gardens®. Pets are not allowed inside the park. $20 /pet for regular guests / all day, $18 for pass members. The facility is ventilated but not temperature-controlled. Pets will be offered fresh water, but it is the owner's responsibility to bring food and feed their pet. Trained service animals are welcome at Water Country USA®.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are welcome at Water Country USA®. However, these animals must remain on a leash or in a harness and are not allowed to enter any of the pools. Guests are responsible for the cleanup of service animal waste and behavior control and the service animals must be accompanied by their owner or another party member at all times.

Water Country USA staff members are not permitted to care for service animals.

Segways

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment® is committed to providing guests a safe and enjoyable experience. Because of different pathway configuration and terrain as well as large crowds that include small children and strollers, we regret that we cannot permit the use of two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicles such as Segways. We are pleased to offer other forms of personal transportation, including electric convenience vehicles and standard wheelchairs and we encourage you to contact Guest Services with any questions you may have.

Minors Policy

Except when participating in an event intended for young guests such as our Adventure Camps, sleepovers, birthday parties and educational programs, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment® suggest that visitors 13 and younger be accompanied by an adult. 

Lost and Found

Visit the Lost & Found building located near the park entrance to report lost and found items. Water Country USA® is not responsible for lost, missing or stolen personal property. If you have recently visited the park and lost an item please click here.

In an effort to locate and return your item to you please include the following information:
• Date and location item was lost or last seen
• Description of item - please be specific in regards to color, brand and any unique features
• If you lost a cell phone please provide serial number, make, model and service provider.
• Your contact information – phone number and address
• if you completed a lost item report before you left the park

Due to high volume, lost item reports are only kept active for 30 days. A team member will contact you only if your item has been located.
Accessibility Guide

Check out below to see which rides are mild and which are wild. Once you get to the park, be sure to observe all "For Your Safety" signs located at the entrance to each attraction. If you're not sure about whether a ride is right for you or your child, don't hesitate to ask any park team member.

ATTRACTIONS
 
Surfer's Bay

WHAT IT IS: A 23,000+ sq. ft. pool featuring a zero depth (beach like) entrance.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The zero depth entrance makes it accessible for virtually any guest. Water depth varies from zero to eight feet. Wave cycles simulate ocean-like waves and wave cycles run on for eight minutes and off for 10 minutes.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
No age or height restriction.
Life vests are recommended for riders under 42".
Weak or non-swimmers should not go beyond the black line without a life vest.

Hubba Hubba Highway®

WHAT IT IS: Guests encounter gentle thrills and spills as they cruise down the "highway" with a fountain filled lagoon at the entrance.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: This attraction has a zero depth (beach like) entrance and descends to 3 1/3 feet within the river itself. The lagoon is accessible for virtually any guest. Guests will experience rapidly moving currents at a rate of five feet per second in the river and the lagoon has virtually no current.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
No age or height requirement.
Life vests are recommended for riders under 56".

Rock 'n' Roll Island

WHAT IT IS: This area features a wide variety of attractions ranging from body slides, a children's slide, free swim area and a lazy river.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The entrance to Rock 'n' Roll Island is accessible by a ramp taking you over the lazy river and onto the island. There is an additional 8-10 step stairway equipped with handrails for your convenience.

The Island's specific attractions are described in more detail below:

Jammin' Jukebox

WHAT IT IS: This attraction consists of three single-rider body slides each approximately 200 feet in length. Slides empty into a pool measuring three and a half feet in depth. The 32-ft tower is accessible by several flights of steps with handrails on both sides.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: Riding position requires lying on your back, feet first with legs crossed at the ankle, hands on shoulders with arms across chest.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
There is no age restriction however; due to the nature of this ride life vests are not permitted.

Riders must be at least 48" to ride.

Rambling River

WHAT IT IS: A 736-foot circle with a water depth of three feet. The water travels at 2 feet per second, half the rate of Hubba Hubba Highway.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: Tubes in a variety of single and/or two rider tubes ranging from 42" to 48" in diameter. The River has three stairway entrances with handrails on either side of each stairwell.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
No hand held infants
One rider per tube opening
Life vests are recommended for riders under 42"

Log Cross and Activity pool

WHAT IT IS: This play area can be found at the center of the Island. Pool size is 11,000 square feet. The water depth begins at three feet and descends to 3 feet as you move into the free swim area. The activity pool is accessible by four to six steps with handrails on either side and in the middle.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The activity pool contains a floating logs consisting of four floating elements. Guests hold an overhead webbed rope to assist with balance as they walk from float to float across the pool. The stairway and swim ladder exits in the activity pool can also be used as an exit for this area. An accessible pool chair lift is available as an alternate entrance/exit for disabled guests in the activity pool's free swim area. Please see a team member for assistance prior to use.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: No restrictions.

Little Bopper

WHAT IT IS: A corkscrew slide designed for children measures 11.1/4 feet in height and empties into the activity pool.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: Steps on the tower have handrails on either side. Riding position requires sitting up or lying down feet first with arms at the side and feet together.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Life vests are recommended for riders under 42"

RIDES
 
Big Daddy Falls®

WHAT IT IS: A 670-foot river rafting adventure.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The 25-ft tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on either side. The queue line has a bridge way with two sets of steps (10-12 steps each set). Ride vehicle measures 7 feet and holds four adults, or three adults and two children. Riding position requires sitting in an upright position. Handles are located on the floor or the top of the inflatable surface. The landing pool measures 3 feet and ascends to a zero depth (beach like) at the end of the pool. The exit has two sets of handrails and six steps at the ride exit.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Life vests are rrequired for riders under 42"
Riders under 48" must be accompanied by a supervisory companion. A supervisory companion is defined as being at least 14 years old.

Aquazoid®

WHAT IT IS: A 9-foot diameter enclosed flume measuring 863 feet that takes riders through twists and turns, waterfalls and darkness before reaching a splash pool three feet deep ascending to zero depth at the exit.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on either side with a tower height measuring 55 feet. The ride vehicle measures 7 feet and holds four adults, or three adults and two children. Riding position requires sitting in an upright position. Handles are located on the floor or on top of the inflatable surface.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Life vests are required for riders under 42"
Riders under 48" must be accompanied by a supervisory companion. A supervisory companion is defined as being at least 14 years old.
Single riders are not permitted.

Meltdown®

WHAT IT IS: A 7-foot wide 701-ft long flume that empties into a 3-ft deep splash pool.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on either side with a tower height measuring 38 feet. The ride vehicle is 11 feet long and 3 feet wide. The bullet shaped vehicle has rider dividers in each tube allowing up to three riders. Riding position requires sitting in a reclined position with your feet hanging over the divider in front of each rider (not crossed unless in the front seat). Handles are located at the top of the vehicle's inflatable surface. The exit to the splash pool consists of four to six steps with handrails on either side.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Life vests are required for riders under 42"
Guests are assigned seating in the vehicle to allow for proper weight distribution.
Riders under 48" must be accompanied by a supervisory companion. A supervisory companion is defined as being at least 14 years old.

Wild Thang

WHAT IT IS: A 502-ft open flume ride.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The ride vehicle is a 42" double tube allowing two riders to participate. Riding position includes sitting in a reclined position, feet first. Handles located at the top of the tubes inflatable surface. If two riders are in place, the rider in the backspace positions his legs under the first rider's arms. The 24-ft tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on either side.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Life vests are required for riders under 42".
If two riders are participating the larger of the two riders sits in the rear and the smaller rider in the front. Both guests must be able to maintain proper riding position.

Single riders are seated in the rear of the tube. Single guests must be able to maintain proper riding position.
Riders under 48" must be accompanied by a supervisory companion. A supervisory companion is defined as being at least 14 years old.

Jet Scream™

WHAT IT IS: A water slide with four flumes, each approximately 400 feet long. Each slide twists and turns empting into a splash pool 3 feet deep.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The exit of the splash pool is accessible by a single set of three to five stairs with handrails on multiple sides. The 29-ft. tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on both sides. The ride vehicle is a single rider 42" tube. Riding position requires sitting in a reclined position, feet first. Handles are located at the top of the tube's inflatable surface.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Riders must be at least 42" to ride. 
Single riders only no children may ride in laps of adults.
All riders must be able to maintain proper riding position.

Malibu Pipeline®

WHAT IT IS: Features two 54" diameter enclosed tubes, each 468 feet long that take riders through waterfalls and darkness into a splash pool 3 feet deep.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The exit is a set of four to six steps with handrails on multiple sides. The 55-ft. tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on either side. The ride vehicle is identical to Wild Thang, a 42" double tube allowing two riders to participate. Riding position requires sitting in a reclined position, feet first. Handles are located at the top of the tubes inflatable surface. If two riders are in place, the rider in the back places their legs under the first rider's arms.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Riders 42" and under are required to wear a life vest.
Riders under 42" must be accompanied by a supervisory companion. A supervisory companion is defined as being at least 14 years old.
If two riders are participating, the larger of the two riders sits in the rear and the smaller rider in the front. Both guests must be able to maintain proper riding position.
Single riders are seated in the rear of the tube.
Single guests must be able to maintain proper riding position.

Rampage™

WHAT IT IS: A pair of identical slides with a single rider toboggan sled sends riders down 32 feet at a 60-degree angle, skimming across a 120-ft. long pool.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The exit pool is three feet at the base of the slides and ascends to a zero depth (beach like) exit. The exit walkway is fully accessible. The 31-ft. tower is accessible by stairs with handrails on either side. The ride vehicle is a single rider toboggan sled weighing approximately 26 lbs. It contains foot wells for feet placement and two handrails on either side. Riding position requires sitting in an upright position with feet inside of the foot wells and holding both handles of the sled, then proceeding down the slide feet first.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Riders must be 42" or above to ride. Riders must have ability to maintain proper riding position.

Nitro Racer®

WHAT IT IS: Six slides set in racing lanes descend 320 feet in length for single rider competition.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: Riders lay on a mat and race to the finish line, which is a run out pool measuring two feet at maximum depth. The exit is accessible by two steps as you leave the run out pool. The 32-ft. tower is accessible by steps with handrails on either side. The ride vehicle is a foam mat folded over at the top and connected by two vertical handles. Riding position requires lying on your stomach, head first, supporting your upper body with your elbows while gripping the handles.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Riders must be 42" or above to ride.
Riders must have ability to maintain proper riding position.

Vanish Point®

WHAT IT IS: The park's new drop slide

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: Riding position requires lying on your back, feet first with legs crossed at the ankle, hands on shoulders with arms across chest.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
There are no age restrictions.
No lifevests are permitted.
Riders must be at least 48".



CHILDREN'S ATTRACTIONS

Note: All children's areas have a fully accessible baby changing station that includes a sink, baby-changing table with liners, and a swim diaper vending machine. Children who normally wear a diaper are required to wear a swim diaper while in the park. Swim diaper vending machines operate on $2 in quarters or are available in W.C. Duds Gift Shop in the main village.

Kritter Korral™

WHAT IT IS: 10 elements for cooling off little ones while they enjoy fun in the sun. The pool has a series of small animal slides including a shark, pelican, whale, seal and a frog, as well as several floating, fountain, and spraying stations.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The entire area of the pool is accessible by one step from the pool deck into the water. Each animal slide is accessible by three to five steps and empties into the pool measuring two feet deep. The play area also contains two enclosed yellow slides. The large enclosed yellow slide is accessible by a netted ladder and empties into the pools deepest point of two and a half feet. The small enclosed yellow slide is accessible by three to five steps with handrails on either side. Riding position requires sitting upright with feet together and arms resting at the sides. The floating snake is secured from the pool bottom to the surface of the water.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Riders must be 50" and under to participate in the play area or be accompanied by a child. Swim diapers are required in this area for children who normally wear diapers.

Cow-A-Bunga®

WHAT IT IS: A children's attraction area that is fully accessible. Play elements include a parent/child slide that empties into a splash pool, and a boat in the center of the pool.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The 3-ft. deep splash pool is accessible by 15 steps with handrails on either side. The ride vehicle is a 42" double tube that allows two riders to participate. The front seat of the tube is lined in the middle to accommodate smaller riders. The riding position requires sitting in a reclined position as the second rider places their legs under the arms of the first rider. The riders are sent feet first down the slide. Two handles are provided for each rider on either side of the inflatable surface. There is also a series of three short slides that are accessible by six steps with a handrail on one side. The slide empties into water approximately one and a half feet deep. The boat is accessible by one step.

AGE/HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Riders must be 54" and under to participate in the play area or be accompanied by a child. Swim diapers are required in this area for children who normally wear diapers.

H2O UFO®

WHAT IT IS: This popular water playground attraction features a parent'/child slide, a variety of other child-size slides, plus water guns, fountains and water wheels.

RIDER POSITION/ACCESSIBILITY: The parent/child slide empties into a 3-ft. deep splash pool. The ride vehicle on the parent/child slide is a 42" double tube that allows two riders to participate. The front seat of the tube is lined in the middle to accommodate smaller riders. Riding position includes sitting in a reclined position as the second rider places their legs under the arms of the first rider. The riders are sent feet first down the slide. Two handles are provided for each rider on either side of the inflatable surface. The two straight slides and one corkscrew slide empty into 2 feet of water. The unit has a tire swing and a semi-submerged tunnel. The unit itself is accessible by four to six steps with handrails on both sides. The riding position for the slides require sitting upright with feet together and arms resting at the sides.

Swim diapers are required in this area for children who normally wear diapers.
